Language selector in status bar

Mary Beth,

I am reviewing Beta 3 and have the same problem. I'm in Montreal which is a bilingual city. Similar to Friedhelm, 1/2 my e-mails are composed in English et l'autre motié est composé en français. Having to open up text properties every time is a significant hassle. Please put it back...
